Al's Dad died just before his 16th birthday and there was just no information on the ancestry. His dad was a hotel clerk, worked 7 nights a week with no vacations.. He had to carry guests' luggage up the stairs, with no elevator available. He was an avid chocolate eater and evidently weakened his heart with the job and diabetes, undetected professionally. Al's mother was adopted by Jacobson's and went by Jacobson. We were told by Emma that her mother was Alice Matson/Mattson and she went to find her in Aitkin Minnesota and the door was shut in her face. She was heart broken. 68
